Annual Fall Yard Give
Sat. November 18, 8:00-11:00am
Elizabeth Bridges
It’s not a yard sale–it’s a yard give! Instead of selling our stuff, we’re loving our neighbors by giving everything away! Start setting aside your gently-used items for this fun, annual neighborhood event. Do you have a few hours to spare? We’ll need some help putting all this together so please go to SignUpGenius and let us know if you can help set up, be on hand during the event, or help tear down.

Seeds Of Faith
Rebecca Hart
Our mission with this garden is to create a lasting project that brings people of all ages together to learn, work and fellowship in Jesus’ name to create something bigger than ourselves and benefit the community. We want to make this garden an outdoor learning experience where the community can come together in God’s love to work and learn with our neighbors.  The Grove launched the Seeds Of Faith gardening ministry with the help of a few church members and volunteers, the assistance of a local SDOP grant, and the desire to engage our community and create a sustainable neighborhood outreach project. This is our mission. We need volunteers to support this outreach project.  Help us grow!

Food Pantry
Pastor’s Pantry
communitymeal@thegrovecharlotte.org
The Pastor’s Pantry provides basic groceries for East Side residents in specific need of short term food assistance. We do this on a case by case basis and recipients need only meet a few basic requirements. We’ve already helped so many make ends meet. The Grove community is invited to regularly donate non-perishable groceries so that we have plenty to give away to those in need.

In partnership with Urban Ministry Center, The Grove opens its gymnasium and facilities to provide shelter and food for the homeless during the winter months. The simple goal is to keep homeless people from freezing on cold winter nights. The greater goal is to provide a more personal relationship to homelessness and gain a deeper understanding of the complexity of the issue. We invite volunteers to help set up beds and tables, prepare and serve dinner and a brown bag lunch and/or stay overnight with our homeless neighbors.  This is your invitation to come serve the homeless alongside us.
