She & her husband Colin have two daughters, Callie and Quinn. She is (very slowly) working to complete her Doctorate of Ministry from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary where she is studying the connection between ecclesiology and eschatology. Lisa Koons has been indirectly & directly involved with The Grove over the course of several years. More recently she began serving as a missionary to The Grove community, but has now come on staff in a Pastoral role to help guide the congregation in spiritual growth & formation practices that serve to help every community member embody the kingdom of God inwardly & outwardly. She is the wife of 21 years, a mother, an ordained minister of 17 years, & the Director of a local prayer, mission, & justice ministry called 24-7. Lisa, a self proclaimed raging introvert, has a great passion for discipleship, good coffee, & equipping the saints for the work of the ministry.
Megan Argabrite is a native of North Carolina, who’s roots of faith were planted growing up in a Presbyterian congregation in High Point. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music from Queens University of Charlotte and graduated in the spring of 2013 from Union Presbyterian Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree. After finishing at Queens, she spent a year serving as a PC(USA) Young Adult Volunteer in inner-city Miami. It was in this challenging and beautiful city where she felt God calling her to seminary to explore new ways to serve Jesus Christ & the church. During her time in seminary, Megan’s deep love of worship in all its forms grew. She served as a seminary intern at Covenant Presbyterian Church and at the Charlotte Urban Ministry Center, and was recently the Interim Worship Leader at Mulberry Presbyterian Church in Charlotte. She & her husband Eric have their hands full with their two spunky kids, Louise & Davey.
Octavia, a native of Jersey City, NJ, studied Psychology at New Jersey City University, then worked 6 years as a Youth Leader at Loving Grace Worship Center where she helped youth to worship, know, & grown in Christ, in prayer, & in character development. In 2011 she adventurously moved to Charlotte, NC. She joined the ministry staff at The Grove in 2012 serving as the Youth Leader & bringing all of her training & experience with urban youth into the dynamics of The Grove. It has been a very different experience for her, but she is bringing her own style to The Grove & allowing God to use her to grow this ministry & to grow the youth in our community.
